Marietje Schaake has stepped down from her leadership position at the CyberPeace Institute, effective 1st January 2022.
Marietje held the position of President of the CyberPeace Institute, on a part-time basis, since its creation in November 2019. She has provided steadfast leadership, and we thank her for her visionary approach and insights. She will remain a member of the CyberPeace Institute’s Advisory Board.
Marietje recently announced that she is writing a book, for which she has decided to dedicate more time, alongside her other activities.
The immediate priority of the Chief Executive Officer, Stéphane Duguin, together with the Board, will be to lead the transition, and continue the steady growth and global recognition that the Institute is experiencing. Stéphane will continue his responsibility for the stewardship of the Institute.
