Fathi Derder is the Managing Director of the Swiss Digital Initiative. He is a former member of Swiss Parliament, the National Council, where he was elected for two terms (2011 – 2019). He devotes most of his time to supporting Switzerland’s innovative strength, education, research, technology transfer, and the digital transformation of the country, within the Committee for Science and Education (WBK).
Fathi Derder is a journalist by training. He spent most of his career at the Radio Télévision Suisse (SSR), notably as deputy editor-in-chief, before creating a private regional television station, La Télé, of which he was the editor-in-chief.
