Alex Romero is co-founder and COO of Constella Intelligence, a leading global cyber intelligence and cybersecurity company whose primary mission is to help organizations anticipate and mitigate digital risk. Alex is also a limited partner at Ballistic Ventures, an early-stage Cybersecurity venture fund based in San Francisco focused on addressing the growing threats to society’s digital infrastructure out of a profound sense of urgency and moral responsibility. Alex also serves on the boards of Endeavor, Telefónica Tech, the European Council on Foreign Relations, The Conversation and Hermes Foundation as well as Elcano Royal Institute. 

Previously, Alex was the CEO and founder of Alto Data Analytics, a company that specialized in applying big data and artificial intelligence to the analysis of public data. In 2020 Alto announced its merger with 4iQ, a Silicon Valley-based pioneer in the analysis of Deep and Dark web data for identity and risk intelligence, creating Constella Intelligence. Constella offers advanced protection services against digital risks and works globally for large companies, multilateral organizations, and nonprofits. 

Before founding Alto Analytics in 2012, Alex was Vice President of MTV and Nickelodeon for Southern Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior Alex held different positions in companies such as Yahoo!, Vodafone and Alcatel-Lucent. Alex has a background in Industrial Engineering and Automation and Electronics from the Polytechnic University of Malaga (Spain) and an MBA from Henley Business School (United Kingdom). Since 2014 Alex has been an Endeavor entrepreneur, and he has attended Endeavor programmes at Harvard University (Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures Executive Program) – and Stanford University (Innovation and Growth Executive Program). Alex also teaches the subject “Hybrid Threats” at Sciences Po University in Paris (France).
