Cybersecurity Futures 2030 – Workshop with UC Berkeley

18 November 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

The CyberPeace Institute, Republic and Canton of Geneva, the University of Geneva, Swissnex in San Francisco and the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity(CLTC) will host the Geneva edition of the workshop Cybersecurity Futures 2030.

In collaboration with global partners from academia, business, civil society and public sector, the effort engages a variety of stakeholders to develop 360-degree foresight scenarios to help decision-makers to better anticipate and address tomorrow’s cybersecurity challenges. We will focus this special session on the special relationship between geopolitical trends and cyber issues.

This closed-door discussion will feed into the next iteration of the CLTC’s series of Cybersecurity Futures foresight reports, which are designed to inform strategic cybersecurity planning around the world.

Participants will explore together:

  • What key driving forces might shape the future of cybersecurity over the next 5 to 7 years?
  • What shifts in technology, geopolitical dynamics, social pressures, and regulatory developments might alter the reality of digital security come 2030?
  • How might our views of most plausible or probable cybersecurity futures differ? What might we learn from that divergence?
