The CyberPeace Lab “COVID-19 Infodemic: Defending the Health Sector – How Cyber Operations Transgress International Laws and Norms” will examine the issue of cyber operations against the health sector from the legal and normative point of view.

This CyberPeace Lab will investigate whether and how these cyber operations transgress international laws and norms, specifically in the context of the health care supply chain, and how the international community can hold malicious actors accountable. It will examine differences between state and non-state actor activities. Finally, the discussants will provide an overview of the current appetite and capabilities of international actors to enforce existing norms and whether or not there are certain blockages in the international community that limit the ability to hold international actors accountable for their malicious behavior and operations against the health care supply chain.

This CyberPeace Lab will build on the discussion from our previous CyberPeace Lab “COVID-19 Infodemic: How to Protect the Health Sector from Cyberattacks” from April 16.
