Collaboration for Cyber Awareness
To help people around the world to shield themselves from cyberattacks and contribute to cyberpeace, we work with local partners. Our collaboration with Kenyan agency Creative VMLY&R focused on NGOs working in healthcare and water sectors in Kenya.
The strength of NGOs
There has been an increase in cyberattacks targeting the healthcare sector and water treatment systems around the world. While working to protect human security, dignity and equity of local populations, including granting their access to essential services and their livelihood, these NGOs are often ill-prepared to face cyberattacks. When attacked, large groups of people are left vulnerable.
How to help the helpers?
Our posters address the cybersecurity needs of the NGOs working in the field of healthcare and water facilities, in order to increase cyber awareness of their staff, and in doing so helping to better protect the vulnerable populations they serve.
Addressing the Most Common Cyber Threats
The posters cover five topics that represent the most common cyber threats and attack vectors: poor passwords, phishing emails, unsecure websites, social media and disinformation. Posters are available in English, French and Swahili. Go ahead, download the posters, print them, stick them on the wall, share them with your colleagues and friends. And if you’d like to reuse them for your organization or even modify them, we’d love to help you do that, just get in touch with us.
Free online cybersecurity training for non-profits
The CyberPeace Institute is offering free online trainings for non-profit organizations. The sessions are typically 1 hour 30 minutes long and cover a range of cybersecurity issues such as email security, password management, privacy, safe use of social media and travel security.
The training sessions are facilitated by experts of the CyberPeace Institute. To seek more information or schedule a free online training, please send your request at [email protected].
Don’t miss the opportunity to train your staff on cyber hygiene!
